HUMAN RIGHTS PRESENTATION
Border activist Enrique Morones will give a presentation on the recent cross country Marcha Migrante that visited 40 cities in 12 states. Morones, a San Diego native, is President and founder of Border Angels an all volunteer group established in 1986 that places water in the desert during the summer and blankets and food in the winter on the border areas to help save migrant lives. As a founder of Gente Unida (a human rights border coalition of 65 human right groups) he helped lead the national effort against the vigilante Minutemen. His most recent project was the National March for Migrants a caravan from San Diego to Washington DC and back in February where they visited 40 cities in 27 days demanding NO ON HR 4437, NO MORE DEATHS and JUSTICE FOR MIGRANTS.
