THRISSUR: Ragging is A serious misdemeanor of human rights, said Health Secretary Usha Titus.Presenting a paper on ''Challenges faced by medical fraternity'' organised by Jubilee Mission Checkup College here on Saturday, she said that even in foreign states ragging of the kind establish in our state was unheard of.She said that it was the cardinal duty of the physician to give primary attention to his patients. Over-specialisation and compartmentalization were damaging to patients.District Collector Meter Beena presided over the function. Jubilee Mission Checkup College principal Dr Volt Kelvin Ramankutty, manager Francium Dr Francis Alapatt and college labor union president A Ahmed also spoke.
